CONTOH SOALAN / Examples

1) State the digit value of the digit 2 in the number 82 049.
82 049 என்ற எண்ணில், இலக்கம் 2 இன் இலக்க மதிப்பைக் குறிப்பிடுக.

Answer / விடை = 2000

2) State the place value of the digit 5 in the number 43 571.
43 571 என்ற எண்ணில், இலக்கம் 5 இன் இட மதிப்பைக் குறிப்பிடுக.

Answer / விடை = hundreds / நூறு


3) Write " sixty two thousand and seventy three " in numeral.
" அறுபத்து இரண்டாயிரத்து எழுபத்து மூன்றை" எண்ணால் எழுதுக.

Answer / விடை = 62 073

4) Partition / Extented Notation / பிரித்து எழுதுதல்.

a) 53 456 = 50 000 + 3 000 + 400 + 50 + 6
( numeral / எண்)

b) 53 456 = 5 ten thousands + 3 thousands + 4 hundreds +
5 tens + 6 ones ( word / எழுத்து)

Round Off / Nearest

Nearest ten                                           = 6 250750
Nearest hundred                                  = 6 250700
Nearest thousand                                 = 6 251000
Nearest ten thousand                           = 6 250000
Nearest hundred thousand                  = 6 300000
